Privacy
This site is a personal professional site. It collects as little as possible, and nothing unless you choose to send it or accept optional measurement.
What the contact form collects
Your name, email address, company if you choose to provide it, the area your challenge falls into, a rough timeframe, and whatever you write in the message.
That information is used for one purpose: to reply to you and to work out whether I am the right person to help. It is never sold, shared with third parties for their own purposes, or used to market anything to you.
Where it goes
Submissions are stored in Sanity, the content system behind this site, and a copy is emailed to me so I see it promptly. Both are hosted in the EU or under standard contractual clauses.
The legal basis is legitimate interest: you contacted me about professional services and expect a reply.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that lead to work are kept for as long as the professional relationship and any legal obligations require. Enquiries that do not are deleted within twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time for a copy of what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it entirely. Send that request through the contact form and I will action it — there is no process to go through.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it — which pages are read, which articles lead to an enquiry, and where people arrive from. It is used in aggregate, to improve the site.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes your visit on Google’s infrastructure. IP addresses are anonymised before storage, so your full address is never recorded. No advertising features, remarketing or cross-site tracking are enabled.
OpenAI campaign measurement can also run after you accept. It records page views and a successful enquiry event and may use an OpenAI click reference, a browser reference, IP address and browser user agent to attribute the action to a ChatGPT ad. Form contents, your name and your email address are not sent, and advanced matching is not enabled.
You can opt out by blocking or clearing cookies and site data for this site, or by installing Google’s official opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
No contact-form content is passed to Google Analytics or OpenAI campaign measurement.
